The full curriculum includes training to evaluate children and adults for specific learning challenges and the knowledge required to design specific programs to help those students overcome challenges to reading, writing, memorization, and math. The complete NLC Learning Specialist Training includes: - The NLS model for overcoming sensory-based learning challenges, including ADD/ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism, Sensory Integration Disorder, Auditory Processing Disorder, Non-Verbal Learning Disorder; - Understanding and Installing the 24 Essential Sensory-Based Learning Skills that all children need to succeed in school, from reading and writing to focus and attention, organization, self-esteem and self-motivation; - 10 Step Program to overcome the effects of Dyslexia, Dysgraghia, and other sensory-based challenges to reading and writing; - 6 Step Program to overcome the effects of Dyscalculia and other challenges to Mathematics; - 12 Step Program to overcome the effects of ADD/ADHD; - 10 Step Program to overcome the effects of Sensory Integration Disorder, Auditory Processing Disorder, and other sensory-based learning challenges; - 16 Step Program for children, teens and adults struggling with effects of Autism and Asperger’s Syndrome; As an NLC Learning Specialist you will learn to work with the student’s natural gifts and learning style to help them overcome the effects of Dyslexia, ADHD, Autism, and other learning challenges. Our parent program is shorter and focuses on the specific strategies you, as a parent, can implement, in the home and at school, to help your child succeed both socially and academically. Many of these children have already attended various reading, educational or tutoring programs with little or no success. Many more are caught in an educational system that simply doesn’t understand or appreciate their needs and their gifts.
