About Us

The Neuro-Linguistic Learning Center in El Dorado Hills, California, was founded by Gerald Hughes in 2006. Since that time, the primary mission of the NLC has been to help children, teens and adults overcome the effects of ADHD, Dyslexia and other sensory-based learning challenges.

In addition to offering a variety of programs and services to children, teens and adults, the NLC also sponsors a number of Parent Support Meetings and Free Community Workshops to support families and community members.

One of the core values at the NLC is that no child should ever be turned away or denied help because of his family’s financial situation. The NLC, therefore, maintains a variety of affordable tutoring and coaching options as well as scholarship programs to assist families in need.

In 2009, the NLC also began offering the NLC Learning Specialist Training both on-line and in live training events throughout California.

Gerald is a frequent speaker/lecturer on education and learning disabilities. He is author of the book, "Gifted--Not Broken: Overcoming Dyslexia, ADD and other Learning Challenges."
