Text Box: About Us: No Child Left Behind
Text Box: The Neuro-Linguistic Learning Center in El Dorado Hills, California, was founded by Gerald Hughes in 2006. Since that time, the primary mission of the NLC has been to help children, teens and adults overcome the effects of ADHD, Dyslexia and other sensory-based learning challenges.

In addition to offering a variety of programs and services to children, teens and adults, the NLC also sponsors a number of Parent Support Meetings and Free Community Workshops to support families and community members.

One of the core values at the NLC is that no child should ever be turned away or denied help because of his family’s financial situation. The NLC, therefore, maintains a variety of affordable tutoring and coaching options as well as scholarship programs to assist families in need.

In 2009, the NLC also began offering the NLC Learning Specialist Training both on-line and in live training events throughout California.
Through these trainings Parents, Teachers and other professionals can become fully Certified Neuro-Linguistic Learning Specialists. (for more information on Neuro-Linguistic Learning Specialist Trainings, Click Here.)

Gerald is a frequent speaker/lecturer on education and learning disabilities. He is author of the book, "Gifted--Not Broken: Overcoming Dyslexia, ADD and other Learning Challenges."

Text Box: For a growing number of students in the 21st Century, tutoring has proven to be time-consuming, frustrating and painfully ineffective. While many of these children struggle with specific challenges such as Dyslexia or ADHD, many more have no official diagnosis and no significant challenges outside of the classroom.

Of those students that receive extensive tutoring, many will fail to demonstrate little or no long-term benefits. And for many of these students, tutoring will become a way of life, continuing on for years.

It begs the question, “Is there a 21st Century solution to the struggles being faced by these 21st Century students?”

Before my training at the Learning Center I was afraid of groups and I was always nervous when I talked on the phone. Now I'm comfortable, focused and relaxed. I can relate to people in a whole new way." - Dianne F., Cameron Park, CA
