Helping Children, Teens and Adults Succeed in the 21st Century

Programs for Adults and Seniors

Keeping Your Brain Young
While many persons are diagnosed with learning challenges at an early age, many others go undiagnosed for years. They struggle forward as best they can, often without knowing that help is available.

Often as we get older our minds change. Sometimes illness has taken a toll on the body and mind. Our ability to effectively store and recall information may diminish with age.

The learning Center is proud to offer several programs and workshops, specifically designed to help the not-so-young regain the mental sharpness they once enjoyed.

It’s Never Too Late To Make Learning Easy:
This 4-week program is specifically designed for seniors and older students wishing to extend their academic abilities.

“Students” receive and practice advanced strategies for storing and recalling information, for reading, spelling, mathematics, studying and test-taking.

Workshop - Never Lose Your Keys Again:
Have you ever felt like the absent-minded professor? In this workshop Mr. Hughes will present practical techniques for increasing your ability to store and recall information. Immediate benefits from attending this workshop include:

-  How we remember and why we forget;
-  Remembering where you left your keys, glasses, etc.;
-  Remembering people’s names and faces;
-  Recalling facts and information;
-  Increasing attention span and focus;

-  Alzheimer’s Disease;
-  Maintaining Physical and Emotional Health;
-  Reducing Stress and Anxiety.
-  5-Steps to keeping your brain young;

Whether you are 29 or 92 you will leave this workshop thinking and feeling younger.

Every participant will receive a workshop booklet containing these practical memory strategies as well as additional information on learning styles and brain function.
