NLC Special Education Programs

Overcoming the effects of Dyslexia:
This program is for students struggling with the effects of Dyslexia or other reading challenge. NLC Learning Specialists will work with the student’s natural gifts and learning style to increase reading speed and comprehension, memorization, penmanship and writing/composition.

This program includes essential learning skills such as mental math for speed and accuracy, test-preparation, advanced test-taking strategies. Goal-setting, time management, and self-motivation are all included in this program to help the Dyslexic child succeed both in and out of the classroom. Enrollment includes one year support and follow-up at the Neuro-Linguistic Learning Center. (Scholarships Available)

Overcoming the effects of ADD / ADHD:
This program is for students struggling with the effects of ADD or ADHD. NLC Learning Specialists will work with the student’s natural gifts and ADHD learning style to reduce stress and increase focus, attention and organization. Students will also be taught specific strategies for reading, memorization, note-taking and writing/composition to maximize their natural abilities.

Overcoming the effects of Autism:
This program is for students struggling with the effects of Autism. NLC Learning Specialists will work with the student’s natural gifts and learning style to reduce stress and increase focus, attention and organization. Students will be given new strategies for reading, writing, memorization, as well as inductive and deductive reasoning.

Sensory Integration Disorder, Auditory Processing Disorder, Non-Verbal Learning Disorder, PDD(NOS), Asperger’s Syndrome, etc.:
These individualized programs are designed to improve the student’s success by understanding and utilizing their natural strengths.

Specially trained NLC Learning Specialists will work with the student to improve reading, writing, listening, and other essential learning skills as required to improve classroom performance. In addition, a person’s individual program may focus on improving good judgment, social skills, understanding consequences, inductive and deductive reasoning, and other important life skills.
